VANILLA MILK STOUT
Vanilla is the defining ingredient of this beer, so when looking for a name we turned to Madagascar, the leading vanilla producer in the world. But vanilla is a plant that originated in Mexico. And that story was what ended up inspiring us. Nobody could make it grow in another part of the world (and many tried – it’s delicious and expensive), because the plant is exclusively pollinated by the Melipona Bee, a very specific bee species that won’t survive outside its natural habitat. Many smart people tried to solve this problem but to no avail. It was a little boy, that realized only by chance that it is possible to manually pollinate the vanilla by hand, thus rendering the bee obsolete. The path to knowledge is not a straight line. And thus, Melipona becomes a symbol of this path.
